One Holiday tradition that I have set ever since I have been married is to make wassail. I make it many times during the Christmas Season, because I absolutely love it! No taste embodies more Christmas spirit to me, than wassail, especially when paired with before mentioned gingerbread cookies!
I was inspired many years ago to try out wassail for a few reasons… 1. I could not actually cook anything, so making a warm drink sounded easy enough, and 2. I am a Christmas freak! I love Christmas and anything to do with it, so I had to try out just for myself what the song “Here We Go A-Wassailing” was all about.
Many times when I take wassail to a party, people have no idea what I wassail is. So, here it is, if you don’t know-

2 c. cranberry juice
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 can pineapple nectar
1 cup brown sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp ground cloves
