I have not had much time between eating turkey and putting up Christmas decorations over the past few days to post, or even change to a Christmas theme, which is now taken care of! But now, the turkey has been eaten,

by someone or another,
and the tree is up,

so I have some time to relax and share some thoughts with the world.
I had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend, and despite the fact that I was very anxious that my holiday would not be the “Currier and Ives” picture print I was hoping for, it was pretty dag-on close!
We spend the early afternoon at my mother-in-laws, with some delicious food. The boys enjoyed throwing a little football.
In my world, the world I had before I met Brandon, I did not realize just how much Thanksgiving had to do with football!
I thought to myself, “You mean those poor football players have to play football on Thanksgiving Day and don’t even get to eat turkey with their families and hounds?”
After that, it was time to prepare for the Thanksgiving feast at our house! And a feast it was…
And let’s not forget about the dessert section!
I even made an apple pie from scratch that, I thought, was pretty tasty!
The table was set…
And everyone was there to enjoy, which warmed my heart! I did miss my sister, brother-in-law, and nephew’s presence though!
In this picture, from left to right, is my mother, who diligently made the turkey, my cousin, Jessany and her husband Matt, her brother, Brycen, and my Aunt Kati.
And of course Brandon enjoyed, along with my grandmother and her boyfriend! The woman has already out-lived two men!
As you can see we had a perfect day, and it was followed by a perfect night of Black Friday deals!
Thank you all for making my Thanksgiving so special!
